Strawberry Creek Walk, part of the Watershed Environmental Poetry Festival, poetry, talk, and easy walk along beautiful Strawberry Creek through UC Berkeley and its culverted, underground path through downtown Berkeley to the Watershed Festival at Civic Center Park, led by Nevada City poet/eco-educator Chris Olander, with poetry readings by Tiffany Higgins, Raphael Block, Jahan Khalighi, and Maw Shein Win, Poet Laureate of El Cerrito, with commentary by naturalist Glen Schneider and Tim Pine, Director, UC Berkeley Environmental Health and Safety Department; presented by Poetry Flash and Ecology Center, a 100 Thousand Poets for Change event, meet in the Cypress Grove, often called the Redwood Grove (southeast corner of Oxford at Center, near the sculpture of the World Globe as you enter the UC campus) free, 10:00 a.m. (510/525-5476, info@poetryflash.org)
