Poetry & Place | El Cerrito, a celebratory reading and fund raiser with Maw Shein Win, El Cerrito Poet Laureate; Kim Shuck, San Francisco Poet Laureate; Rafael Jesús González, Berkeley Poet Laureate; and Indigo Moor, Sacramento Poet Laureate; live music by Dan Plonsey, Ethan Port, and Thomas Scandura, in their debut as Moeser, performing music created for this event; all-ages open mic; this event is in conjunction with Poetry Flash, now celebrating their 45th anniversary, local literary presses, magazines, and art organizations will table, including Poetry Flash, Sixteen Rivers Press, Manic D Press, Nomadic Press, Work and Conversations, Left Margin Lit, Bay Area Generations, and others, silent auction and raffle will benefit Poetry Flash, refreshments, El Cerrito Community Center, 7007 Moeser Lane, El Cerrito, free admission, 1:30-5:00 (Maw Shein Win: elcerritopoet@gmail.com, www.facebook.com/events/155754105130147)
