24th Annual Watershed Environmental Poetry Festival, "Stand Up for the Earth" with dynamic readings of over thirty poets and writers, including Patricia Smith, Dorianne Laux, Joseph Millar, World on Fire poetry and music ensemble, Ann Fisher-Wirth, co-editor of The Ecopoetry Anthology; Joshua McKinney, Small Sillion; Maya Khosla, All the Fires of Wind and Light, Sonoma County Poet Laureate; Kim Shuck, Deer Trails, San Francisco Poet Laureate, and much more, We Are Nature Open Mic, (to read, enter drawing at noon); Kirk Lumpkin and Richard Silberg emcee, music; River Village exhibits and tables, include Pegasus Downtown book tent with books for sale and signing; 100 Thousand Poets for Change event, sponsored by Poetry Flash, Ecology Center/Berkeley Farmers' Market, Pegasus Books Downtown, Moe's Books; wheelchair accessible, Civic Center Park, Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and Center Street, downtown Berkeley, noon-4:30 (510/525-5476, 510/612-3958, to table or exhibit, email: info@poetryflash.org)
