A memorial poetry reading to honor the life of Les Gottesman, beloved writer, teacher, activist, and founder-publisher of Omerta Publications, with a reading of his work, as well as readings by Omerta poets, including Alan Senauke, Bill Crossman, Genny Lim, Hilton Obenzinger, Jack Hirschman, and Julie Rogers, piano by Bill Crossman, Bird & Beckett Books & Records, 653 Chenery Street, Glen Park, San Francisco, all are invited to bring food and drinks, donations in Les Gottesman's name may be made to Bird & Beckett, Omerta books will be available for purchase, 2:00-3:30 (415/586-3733, www.birdbeckett.com)
