Sonoma County Poet Laureate Emerita Terry Ehret, Night Sky Journey, teaches "Poetry and Painting: A Workshop on Ekphrasis", using as inspiration the paintings of Lawrence Ferlinghetti on exhibit at Cross-Pollination: The Art of Lawrence Ferlinghetti, new and experienced writers welcome, participants will read their poems next to the paintings that inspired them on the evening of August 9, Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, 551 Broadway, Sonoma, $25/$20 members, 5:30-7:30 (www.svma.org)
