Closing reception for the exhibition, "A Home For the Homeless: Artists and Poets in Search of An Answer" on view August 2-31, a provocative response to the homeless crisis with art, photography, poetry, and critiques, featuring photography by Joe Ramos and Cammie Toloui, installations by the Undercover collective with video by Sietske Tjallingii, art by Kate Akimbo, painting by Annice Jacoby, graphics from WRAP archive including work by Patrick Piazza, Art Hazelwood, Veronica Solis, Ronnie Goodman, and poems by Jack Hirschman, Alejandro Murguía, Alessandra Bava, Tony Robles, Norman Zelaya, Cesar Love, Virginia Barrett, Michael Koch, Yevgeny Yevtushenko and others, closing reception features live printing with master graphic community artists incuding Patrick Piazza, Txutuo Perez, Art Hazelwood, and more, this gathering will also include a participatory performance event offering five minutes on a "Soapbox," Alley Cat Books & Gallery, 3036 24th Street, San Francisco, 6:00-9:00 (information: 415/824-1761, or jordan@alleycatbookshop.com)
