Dada World Fair: Alan Bernheimer on Philippe Soupault, more

As part of the 2016 Dada World Fair, poet and translator Alan Bernheimer discusses and signs his translation of the French literary classic, Philippe Soupault's Lost Profiles: Memoirs of Cubism, Dada, and Surrealism, joining him will be editor Garrett Caples; the classic book, appearing for the first time in English, is a first-person account of a crucial period in modernism, the transition from Dada to Surrealism through personal portraits of Joyce, Proust, Apollinaire, Reverdy, Cendrars, and more by the co-founder of the Surrealist Movement, Diesel, A Bookstore, 5433 College Avenue, Oakland, free, 7:00 (510/653-9965, www.dieselbookstore.com, www.dadaworldfair.net)
