The San Francisco Public Library presents a reading featuring writer and musician Kevin Simmonds, reading from his new hybrid poetry and essay collection, The Monster I Am Today: Leontyne Price and a Life in Verse, joined by poets James Cagney, Black Steel Magnolias in the Hours of Chaos Theory, and former San Francisco Poet Laureate devorah major, with open arms, as well as soprano Valetta Brinson, who will be performing a special musical performance, free, online, 7:00-8:00 pm PST (Register to attend: sfpl.org/events/2021/11/10/performance-kevin-simmonds)
