The Mechanics' Institute presents "No Poetry No Peace," a biannual reading series celebrating human expression and peace, featuring multidisciplinary writer Sheryl J. Bize-Boutte, Betrayal on the Bayou, poet and essayist Dr. Jeanne Powell, and poet Karla Brundage, Swallowing Watermelons, the title of this reading series comes from the collection No Poetry No Peace, co-written by Sheryl J.
