Beat Not Beat Anthology Tour and Reading

Beyond Baroque presents a four-hour marathon reading for the "Beat Not Beat Anthology Tour," hosted by Alexis Rhone Fancher, Rich Ferguson, Eric Morago, and S.A. Griffin, celebrating the publication of Beat Not Beat: An Anthology of California Poets Screwing on the Beat and Post-Beat Tradition, published by Moon Tide Press, the reading will feature numerous contributors and editors, including Iris Berry, Elisabeth Adwin Edwards, Kevin Ridgeway, Don Kingfisher Campbell, Susan Hayden, Bill Mohr, Jerome Dunn, Luke Johnson, Kim Dower, Brendan Constantine, Richard Modiano, Nelson Gary, Michael C. Ford, K.R. Morrison, Pam Ward, Conney Williams, Steve Abee, Cassandra Dallett, Harry Northup, Nicelle Davis, Milo Martin, David Ulin, Sarah Maclay, Kathryn de Lancellotti, A.K. Toney, Henry Mortensen, King Daddy, A.   • "Words, blue flowers streaming…" presents poetry and music to celebrate spring in the garden, poetry written by Jaime Robles for the event will be sung and spoken, with voice and bird whistle, with Gael Alcock, cello and voice, Nancy Beckman, shakuhachi, double ocarina, and voice, and Tom Bickley, recorders and voice; a selection of short instrumental works for recorder and cello by Thomas Morley and Gael Alcock, and solos for shakuhachi, recorder, and cello will begin the afternoon, conversation and refreshments to follow, at The Tiger Garage Garden, a private studio, South Berkeley, near Ashby BART, location provided when you reserve a seat by emailing Tom Bickley, free, limited seating, reserve early, 3:00 pm (Reservation required, please email Tom Bickley, tbickley@gmail.com)
