Southern California Poetry Festival: Lee Herrick, David St. John, Allison Hedge Coke, more

The final day of the Southern California Poetry Festival features generative workshops and readings curated by DSTL Arts, Writ Large Projects, Da Poetry Lounge, and Four Way Books; a panel on Central American identity and poetics features Darrel Alejandro Holnes, Adela Najarro, Maya Chinchilla, and Janel Pineda, followed by an evening reading, "Poetics of Grief and Liberation," by Roda Avelar, 2023 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Fellow, alongside San Diego Poet Laureate Jason Magabo Perez, and others; the festival closes with a reading by California Poet Laureate Lee Herrick from his new poetry collection, with David St. John and Allison Hedge Coke, Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center, 681 Venice Blvd., Venice Beach, Los Angeles, free, 11:00 am-7:00 pm PST (For more information, visit: www.eventbrite.com/e/southern-california-poetry-festival-2024-sunday-nov-17-tickets-1047701472307?aff=ebdsoporgprofile)
